Internet Proxy & Sharing

Internet connection sharing (ICS) describes the ability of a network of two or more computers to share a single Internet connection. Internet connection sharing can be used to share a high-speed Internet Leased Line, DSL or CableNet with all computers in the Internal Network. Internet connection sharing is a great way to save money by avoiding multiple ISP accounts, while providing convenient Internet access throughout the home or office.

A proxy server is a computer that offers a computer network service to allow clients to make indirect network connections to other network services. A client connects to the proxy server, then requests a connection, file, or other resource available on a different server. The proxy provides the resource either by connecting to the specified server or by serving it from a cache.

In computer networking, the process of network address translation (NAT, also known as network masquerading or IP-masquerading) involves re-writing the source and/or destination addresses of IP packets as they pass through a router or firewall. Most systems using NAT do so in order to enable multiple hosts on a private network to access the Internet using a single public IP address, usually of the Gateway.

Do you require Connection Sharing/NAT/Proxy ?

You may require Internet Connection Sharing/NAT/Proxy for plenty of reasons :
– You have One (or even another for backup purpose) Internet Connection (DSL, Broadband, CableNet, Leased Line) from some local ISP, and have two or numerous computers you want to provide Internet Connection.
– Your ISP doesnt provide you more than One IPs or provides too few Public IPs.
– You do not want to put all your LAN Computers live through Public IPs on the Internet.
– You do not want to make direct network connections from the computers on your LAN to anywhere on the Internet, but want somebody (Gateway Server) to get it done for them.

Do you require Connection Sharing/NAT/Proxy ?
– NAT, Proxy & Internet Connection Sharing, all in One box
– Provides Transparent Internet Connection Sharing.
– You do not want to put all your LAN Computers live through Public IPs on the Internet.
– Works through transparent NAT, supports almost all Internet Protocols
– Transparent Proxy for FTP, HTTP
